Best Friends First, Then Forever: Sienna & Sam's Joyful Bali Celebration
There's a reason the "best friends to lovers" storyline never gets old — because when it's real, it's the most beautiful thing in the world.
Sienna and Sam met through a local youth group as teenagers, were paired together, and hit it off immediately. Years later, the friendship had quietly become something else entirely. Sam proposed at the top of Colonial Knob — one of their favourite hikes — on a day Sienna had no idea was coming. After she said yes, he took her back to his sister's house, where friends and family burst out with streamers and silly string for a surprise engagement party. "It was honestly amazing," she says, still smiling at the memory.
For their wedding, they wanted something that matched who they are: adventurous, warm, full of colour and joy.
Why They Chose Bali
Sienna and Sam had always loved exploring new places together. A destination wedding felt natural — a chance to turn the celebration into an adventure, to bring their favourite people somewhere extraordinary and share an experience that would stay with everyone long after the day was over.
They chose Puri Temple Hill in Jimbaran for its beauty, its warmth, and its ability to hold a big, joyful celebration without losing its intimacy.

Sam and Sienna's destination wedding was truly a dream come true for the couple. The Look: Spring Colours and Pure Joy
Sienna's vision was bright, alive, and full of colour — she wanted spring florals, vivid centrepieces, and an atmosphere that felt like a garden in full bloom. Her gown, a delicate lace creation from @madewithlovebridal, was ethereal against the lush greenery of the estate. Her hair was styled in a loose, romantic updo. Sam looked effortlessly dapper in a tailored shirt, his face barely able to contain how happy he was.
The tables were set with crisp white linens, crystal glassware, and vibrant floral arrangements that brought the colour palette to life — joyful without being overwhelming.
The Ceremony
Vows were exchanged with the Jimbaran hills as a backdrop, the estate quiet and golden in the afternoon light. After the ceremony, guests moved naturally through the venue's different spaces — the kind of seamless flow that makes a wedding feel like a lived-in experience rather than a scheduled event.
The Reception: Under the Stars at Opia's Limestone Terrace
The reception was held on the beautiful limestone terrace overlooking the hills — one of Puri Temple Hill's most spectacular spaces. The evening unfolded over an exquisite Italian-inspired menu, fine wines, and the kind of conversation that only happens when everyone in the room is genuinely happy to be there.
The highlight of the night was the first dance. As Sienna and Sam swayed together beneath the stars, the whole terrace went quiet. "There was not a dry eye in the house," recalls one guest.
It ended — as the best nights do — with dancing, laughter, and nobody wanting to leave.
