Brittany and Sam

It all began almost seven years ago when Brittany was at work one day in Henley Beach and Sam, at the airport for work travel. They lived on opposite ends of Adelaide and had no mutual friends or connections. Both had been somewhat unlucky on Tinder trying to meet someone who shared the same interest and intent. On paper, (Sam) & (Brittany) should not have met. But serendipity had other plans for these two that day. Aided by their close proximity, they each swiped right and the conversation flowed from then on.

After chatting for a few days, (Sam) asked (Brittany) out on a dinner date to TGIF. Suppressing their nervousness and putting on the brave face, they met that night. The date was a total hit. They were the last to leave the restaurant. On the way down to the carpark, they shared a lovely kiss. Both (Sam) and (Brittany) drove off that night knowing they had met someone very special. And as they said, the rest was history!

They shared many memorable dates after that. One of their favourites being the many waffles shared at Glenelg, as well as their unforgettable date to Beach Burrito where (Sam) ordered food far too hot for him and literally couldn't handle the heat, which almost had (Brittany) questioning her liking for Sam.

After hitting off with beautiful Maddie, Sam’s little girl, Sam proposed at one of our favourite brewery’s (Woolshed Brewery) after arranging our closest family to join us for a picnic that day, he asked his mum to take a photo of us by a beautiful old tree and that’s when he got down on one knee and popped the question in front of our family

Between then and now, (Sam) and (Brittany) have built their beautiful family home, welcomed their darling baby boy (Rory) into the world in November 2021 and now finally have their big day and time to make their love official amidst family and loved ones. What a blessed journey they’ve had getting here.

Get ready to step into the world of Brittany and Sam as they celebrated their unique and creative day featured rich florals against muted natural tones, and a carefully curated journey for the couple and their guests.

What truly set Brittany and Sam’s wedding apart was the striking contrast between their ceremony and reception venues. Brittany explains, “We wanted to get married in the Puri Temple Hill Chapel but also have a unique and fun reception venue. Why not have both!? The entire day was an experience for us and our guests. The bridal suite getting ready was Brittany and her little girl,, the ceremony was under the beautiful Chapel, and the reception was at Opia Upper Terrace. All in One estate.

At their reception, they’d laid out a real feast for all the senses. Highlights included the luxurious spread of food and a show-stopping grazing spread! They also served they favourite cocktail – espresso martinis. Brittany designed all the stationery and also hired some fantastic suppliers to bring the rest of their decor dreams to life.

As the reception unfolded, the celebration truly came alive. Everyone, from young to old, was on their feet, dancing and having an absolute blast. “Everyone was up and dancing having a blast all night”, they continued. “The kids were having so much fun, honestly it couldn’t have been a more perfect night”.

When asked how they would describe their wedding theme, Sam and Brittany  agreed they wanted it to feel like a huge party. “We wanted to celebrate with our friends and family, and that’s exactly what happened,” said Brittany. Brittany went on to add that their wedding was a million times more than we could have ever imagined. A day we will never forget. From the venue, to the food/drink and every single detail along the way was absolute perfection. The staff at Puri Temple Hill | Opia are some of the most caring, beautiful people we have ever met and I truly believe we will hold a friendship with them for a long time to come. The level of attentiveness and care shown to not only is but all our guests was beyond amazing.

It has made us feel more than just a number, we truly feel that our wedding here was something special thanks to you all. I really do not have enough words to explain my love for this place and the people there, but I hope this write up paints a good picture. You will all have a special place in our hearts forever. 🤍

Love lives here.
